Canyon Springs Stage Stop Steakhouse in Newcastle

I have eaten at Canyon Springs Stage Stop Steakhouse many of times. I have NEVER had a bad meal there. It is always awesome and it is fun to find out what kind of sides Judy is going to come up with. They are always very unique and have never had several of them, but they are ALWAYS very good! It is always great just to go there and visit with them. Best steak you'll get anywhere Awsome environment with excellent service

Had a delicious meal here back in June 2016, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Huge portions, perfectly cooked steak, great sides, excellent service.

This place is a little piece of heaven. The food is amazing and the owners are the sweetest couple you'll ever meet. We sat and watched the deer roam through the large windows while we enjoyed the best steak we've ever had. They have quite a collection of historical pieces to observe as well. Definitely worth the trip!

Been here twice now and both times Judy delivered from the kitchen! I've enjoyed the "Real Deal" and must confess that it certainly is the real deal! The food and atmosphere here truly are world class! My wife and I are frequent world travelers. It's difficult for us to think of better dinning experiences anywhere.

We stopped here on our way to Deadwood after a friend recommended it. 3 miles downs dirt road and we found it! This was hands down the best steak I've ever had! It was one of those meals that you have to finish every last piece no matter how full you are, that's how delicious it is. On top of the delicious food, the place is practically an old western museum and very interesting to look around in. The owners are also very kind and personable. They sat with us towards the end of our meal and we all chatted for probably an hour. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back for more!

Best steaks my wife and I have ever had!!! Must stop here!!!

We finally made it to this "Hidden Gem"!! The steak was fantastic, the Walleye was fantastic, the staff hovered over us...even the mashed potatoes had herbs and spices in it. We came up from Deerfield lake...then took the scenic drive back through Sundance to Spearfish. Will be back...we have a new "favorite spot"!

Wonderful people and a beautiful place!

This place is AMAZING! The steak is the best we have ever had! Literally melts in your mouth. The shrimp was cooked to perfection as well. The owners are charming and very entertaining. This place is off the beaten path and tucked away in the forest. The views are breath taking. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Located at the end of the snowmobile trail it makes for an awesome stop. The owners make AWESOME food and have a fully stacked bar, with some really good craft beer on tap as well.Highly recommended.

Operated by a husband and wife team. They are very friendly and accommodating. Service is superb as is the food. You can usually choose your meat but the sides are always a surprise but never disappointing. Great atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend!

Great food and Frank was amazing. He really showed he cared about those who walked in the door. It may be in the middle of nowhere where on a gravel road, but it's well worth it. If you're visiting the area, a must see!!
